The Ceylon Association of Medical Acupuncturists (CAMA) is pleased to announce that CAMA’s commitments are listed in the Commitments Document of the 2nd WHO Global Summit on Traditional Medicine, under Health Practitioner Organizations.
Through this global platform, CAMA has pledged its commitment to advancing safe, effective, and evidence-informed acupuncture practice, in alignment with WHO priorities. These commitments include:
Strengthening the evidence base, safety, and regulation of acupuncture
Conducting collaborative research
Establishing a national acupuncture data registry
Supporting regulatory frameworks
Developing national clinical practice guidelines
These commitments contribute to the implementation of the WHO Global Traditional Medicine Strategy 2025–2034, supporting the responsible integration of traditional medicine into national health systems.
