Instructions For Registration
The members of the association consist of three categories as follows:
1. Medical Practitioners in Acupuncture
– Should possess a degree in Acupuncture or Traditional Chinese Medicine recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka or the Ceylon Association of Medical Acupuncturists.
– Medical practitioners registered under government-recognized medical councils in Sri Lanka should possess a diploma or postgraduate qualification in Medical Acupuncture or Traditional Chinese Medicine.
2. Acupuncture Therapists
– Individuals who do not come under the category of medical practitioners should possess a diploma in Acupuncture or Traditional Chinese Medicine obtained from an institute recognized by the Ceylon Association of Medical Acupuncturists.
3. Students
– Individuals who are currently studying for a degree or diploma in Acupuncture or Traditional Chinese Medicine at an institute recognized by the Ceylon Association of Medical Acupuncturists come under this category.
Registration Process
Applicants are required to fill and submit the official application form with the necessary documents.
Applications will be reviewed by the association.
Eligible applicants will be notified and required to face an examination conducted by the Ceylon Association of Medical Acupuncturists.
Applicants who successfully pass the examination will be eligible for registration with the association.
Required Documents
Applicants should submit the following documents along with the application form:
One recent photograph (size 45.0 × 35.0 mm).
Copy of NIC or passport.
Copies of certificates as proof of academic qualifications.
General Regulations
The Ceylon Association of Medical Acupuncturists reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of registration.
The Executive Committee may suspend a member if such member is suspected of any conduct prejudicial to the interests and good name of the Association. The member will be given the opportunity to submit a written explanation. If the explanation is unsatisfactory, the suspension may be converted into removal from membership.
